Rabbi Zalman Baras - originally from Crown Heights in Brooklyn - moved to Cincinnati to dedicate his life to the education of the Jewish leaders of tomorrow. He serves as the main Mashpia - mentor and guidance counselor - in the internationally renowned Rabbinical Yeshiva High School of Cincinnati. He has personally overseen the development of hundreds of young boys into productive young adults. He is also a young father of 6 children B"H.
Over Pesach, he was diagnosed with a serious illness. Baruch Hashem, the doctors have begun treatments and are very optimistic that there should be a complete recovery. Yet, it is a journey. The Yeshiva will continue to keep its' commitments to Rabbi Baras and his family as well as provide extra support for their needs during the recovery process. As colleagues and community members, who care for him on a very personal level, we are raising money for his extra care.
Please say "YES" to the person that has never said "no" to any person in need.
