ABOUT THE TEAM

This place is something special.

It's more than a school;

It's a place of open-ness, happiness, and TRUE education.

When I think of "education", I think of lousy books, a dirty white board, and a teacher in the front of a classroom, monotonously lecturing her lesson.

When I think of BCA, I think of the time I casually looked out my window, to discover an art project happening in the yard.

I think of the time I passed by the photocopy machine, and found a Chumash test that looked more like a comic strip.

I think of the first time I heard the bell go off in between classes, and thought it was a mistake, because why would the bells in school be joyous music?

I think of that time when I asked "How many times a week so the girls have electives?" and was answered "Everyday."

I think of the class discussions that I overhear from the other side of my office wall, with students actively discussing, conversing, and engaging, in their teacher's lesson.

Working alongside such special educators, and students, has been extremely humbling, and challenges me every day to become a better person.

Since this campaign is taking place while we are still in the Shloshim of my dear grandmother, every dollar donated today will be in the merit of Sara Bas Victor to have an aliyas Neshama.
