Dear Friends, For more than 25 years, we have dedicated ourselves to Jewish Education and teaching the children of our community about the beauty and relevance of Judaism. Today, more than ever we see how important it is for our children to be proud of their religion, supporters of Israel, and knowledgeable of their history and heritage. Now in its 11th year, The Starr Family Jewish Day School is reaching out to the community for support during our annual match-a-thon fundraising campaign.
StarrJDS is the only Jewish private day school in San Antonio and all of South Texas serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. StarrJDS caters to a diverse set of families with different interests, socioeconomic, cultural backgrounds and Jewish observance. Our education is led by compassionate and professional teachers and staff to ensure individual excellence. StarrJDS curriculum is a healthy balance of vibrant and challenging college-preparatory academics for both Secular and Judaic studies, which we believe are complementary and vital in preparing our students for the challenges that lie ahead in the classroom and in life. StarrJDS is accredited through AdvancED-Cognia, the largest accrediting agency in the country.
StarrJDS, formally the Shmuel Bass Torah Academy of San Antonio (TASA) was founded in 2013 to provide Jewish children in San Antonio a secure sense of identity and culture through high-quality education programs while also instilling in them strong Torah values, ethics, and Middot.
