What is it now?

This time, it's a community "raiser".

 

Over the years Yagdil Torah has been dedicated to planting the seeds of Torah and Ruchnius throughout our global Anash community, by providing essential resources that inspire and enable others to strengthen their commitment in Limud Torah.

We now seek to expand our activities by implementing new initiatives for our current audience, as well as broaden our reach to inspire many others.

Man is Likened to a Tree in the Field

 

The birth of each child is like a new seedling starting to sprout, slowly growing into the tree it will become. With tender care we nurture it, celebrating its achievements and milestones as it develops and matures. A few short weeks ago, Menachem Mendle Browd a"h, the raison d'etre of Yagdil Torah, reached the milestone of Bar Mitzvah.

As a Bar Mitzvah celebrates the transition of a child entering the stage of manhood, when new energies are put forth in order to establish and fortify the young man's new responsibilities, Yagdil Torah wishes to mark this occasion by spiritually fortifying Menachem Mendle's tree by expanding our current work.

Since its inception, Yagdil Torah has engendered countless hours of Torah learning and has created a slow but steady shift in the Crown Heights and global Anash community, whereby people will spend their spare time learning and has ultimately resulted in helping to raise the whole community to a higher level.

 

In order to continue servicing our community, Yagdil Torah will be running a Matchathon campaign for $120,000 to raise the vital funds needed to help cover its $322,000 annual budget - starting Tuesday, 3 Elul-September 3, 2019 through Sunday, 8 Elul-September 8, 2019. Each dollar given will be doubled, and the folks at Yagdil Torah know how to stretch each dollar so it is not wasted.

Here are some of the seeds we planted over the years....

 

Heichal Hallimud: Open 20/7, hundreds of people walk through our doors and into a peaceful, inviting environment, providing the conducive atmosphere to just sit and learn, each at their own pace and leisure.

 

Daily morning Kolel: Every morning a steady group gathers to begin their day on spiritual footing, ensuring that the rest of their day is infused with the warmth of Torah.

 

Toras Chaim (Gemara) program: Every month 10 daf are learned with stipends received based on the score of a monthly test. Before you know it, you learned an entire Mesechta!

 

Chalukas Hashas Program: Following the horaah of the Rebbe, Yagdil Torah facilitates the division of Shas each year.

 

Chavrusa Pairing Program: It can be difficult to find the motivation to learn alone...so Yagdil Torah works to pair chavrusos together so you can maximize your potential in the areas of Torah you'd like to explore.

 

iTorah Phone Line: Torah on the go. It's as simple as that.

 

Shiurim: Every Shabbos morning a highly attended Likkutei Torah shiur takes place with Rabbi Yossi Paltiel. Over the years we initiated hundreds of shiurim - seasonal, one-time and ongoing, with many taking on a life of their own.

 

Published hundreds of inspirational publications: Our bi-monthly newsletter and other publications are a source of inspiration when you are short on time, but can really use a dose of inspiration to keep you going.



Tens of thousands of learning materials distributed for Yomei D'pagra: When a special day comes around, Yagdil Torah has got you covered with learning material selected specifically for you to learn in connection with that day.

 

NEW! Yagdil Torah is launching a new pilot program to help the children in our community succeed in their Torah studies: Our mashgiach on premises will assist the children with their homework and ensure that they are in a pleasant environment.
