ABOUT THE TEAM

Please help us reach our family fundraising goal of $1,000 (*4 = $4,000) for Cheder Chabad school in Baltimore, Maryland.

Cheder Chabad instills in its students a love for one another and an excitement for their roles as Yidden. All learning is guided by the principles of Chabad Chassidus, to help our students attain the knowledge, values, and strength of conviction to make and maintain a lifelong commitment to Torah and mitzvos.


Cheder Chabad of Baltimore has gained a stellar reputation for its warm, nurturing preschool and growing, Cheder-style elementary school. Cheder Chabad now hosts over 225 students in the historic Beth Jacob synagogue campus. Cheder includes a vibrant preschool, boys elementary through 7th grade, and a girls elementary through 4th grade. Our school caters to the students of the Jewish community across Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. We always welcome new families to come and see what is growing here at Cheder Chabad.

The Cause

Imagine a world of kindness and giving in which everyone gave of themselves without any concern for what they might be losing. That's a world of light. For the power of a light is its ability to kindle others without extinguishing itself. 

At Cheder we bring light to the world every single day, as we teach our children to give just as much as they receive. In the classrooms and on the playground our students are asked to learn and to teach, to shine and to share. 

Now we are sharing their light with the world. This Chanukah we are asking our students and the entire Cheder community to go out to the streets and spread the message of light with anyone they reach. Whether it's sharing a smile, lending a hand or giving out a menorah to kindle - we will make this world brighter!
