WE NEED TO HELP THIS FAMILY - Living in Joburg, we know all too well about living with security concerns. A good friend and colleague in Sweden is going through a lot worse right now.
Rabbi Schneur Kesselman and his family are the Chabad representatives in Malmo Sweden. Malmo has become a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism and his family has been subjected to violence and harassment by Islamic extremists over the past couple of years, with just about no help from local authorities. Things are that bad, that the Atlantic recently called Rabbi Kesselman "The most persecuted Jew in Europe".
Some fellow Shluchim have banded together to raise the funds needed to secure the rabbi's home and his and his family's personal safety. My personal goal is to get our community to raise $2 000. This will be matched by another three donors, dollar for dollar. Each $100 you donate will turn into $200!
